The area of Åsele Municipality encompasses a scenic land area of 4235 km², which has over fifty nature reserves and a national park. What attracts visitors to Åsele, besides nature and outdoor activities, is the historic Åsele Market, one of Sweden's largest summer markets.
Åsele Municipality (Sjeltien tjïelte in Southern Sami) is a Sami administrative area, and knowledge of the Sami language is an asset in certain professions.

Åsele Municipality is looking for an Accounting Assistant
The Finance Department consists of six employees who play a central role in Åsele Municipality's economy.
We are responsible for interim financial statements, annual reports, budgets, and multi-year planning, monitoring costs and revenues, and developing routines and processes. The work is divided based on expertise, creating structure and close collaboration within the team. We are now looking for a new accounting assistant who wants to become part of our team.
Responsibilities
In the role of accounting assistant at Åsele Municipality, you will have a varied role with responsibility for accounts payable and receivable. Your tasks will include handling supplier invoices from scanning and e-invoices to registration, coding, reminders, and payments. The role also includes ongoing bookkeeping for municipal companies and other administrative tasks, such as archiving and mail handling.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with strong administrative skills who can structure and plan work effectively. You have the ability to use various digital tools and quickly familiarize yourself with different systems. You communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Relevant education and/or experience in financial matters is an advantage.
To succeed in this role, you need to be meticulous, flexible, and able to prioritize. The work should be characterized by a professional attitude, good teamwork, and a positive approach to development and improvement.
